”Gone Girl” author is planning a robbery
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Gillian Flynn will start writing the script for the new thriller Widows ( "Widows" ).Iain Canning (The King's Speech) and Emil Sherman (Shame) are responsible for producing. In the director's chair is Steve McQueen ("Twelve Years of Slavery"), who will also work as a screenwriter for the film. The film is based on the British TV series of the same name, which was first released in 1983.The story begins with a failed robbery: four armed criminals are killed. Their widows decide to join forces and commit their own major heist.  Flynn has worked on screen adaptations of her books Gone Girl and Dark Secrets as a screenwriter, and, with Ben Affleck and David Fincher, Gillian plans to start a remake of Strangers on a Train ", Noir by Alfred Hitchcock.
