”Episode 8”: Obi-Wan Returns
A pleasant surprise for the large army of fans of the space saga "Star Wars" was the cameo of Obi-Wan Kenobi in the blockbuster " The Force Awakens ". In one of the scenes in the film, the heroine Daisy Ridley hears the voice of a Jedi: " Rey , these are your first steps." The first part of the phrase was created using archival tapes with the participation of Alec Guinness, and the second was specially recorded for the film by Ewan McGregor .According to the portal Schmoes Know , the participation of the Scotsman in the third trilogy may not be limited only to the offscreen role. According to unconfirmed reports, McGregor is currently in talks with Disney and Lucasfilm to appear in Episode 8"as a Force Ghost . Luke Skywalker will have a much more important role in the plot of the next tape, and therefore the appearance of one of his teachers on the screen seems quite appropriate. Rumors of Ewan being involved in the new trilogy had been circulating long before the start of filming for Episode 7. According to the editor of " The Force Awakens " Marianne Brandon, in the film by JJ Abrams, viewers could see another mentor Luke - Yoda , but during post-production the director abandoned scenes with the Grand Master of the Jedi Order . Insiders do not rule out that the bosses of Disney have decided to save the iconic characters for the next movie in the saga.  McGregor himself has repeatedly expressed his desire to return to a distant galaxy. After Disney announced the expansion of Star Wars cinematic universe with a series of spin-offs, insiders were quick to announce that Obi-Wan could dedicate solo film, but no official confirmation of this information followed.  According to some reports, the film crew led by Ryan Johnson has already begun work on "Episode 8". The USA premiere of the blockbuster is scheduled for December 14, 2017 .
