Fifty Shades director will get bogged down in politics

Image It is known that on the set of Fifty Shades of Gray, director Sam Taylor-Johnson suffered from constant conflicts with the author of the acclaimed novels E.L. James, therefore, decided not to return to work on the sequel. As reported by The Hollywood Reporter , Taylor-Johnson has chosen a new project.

The filmmaker has agreed to lead the filming of the political thriller Chappaquiddick , which will focus on the tragic incident involving Senator Ted Kennedy. On July 18, 1969, a terrible accident occurred on Chappaquidick Island in Massachusetts. The car with Kennedy at the wheel went off the bridge and fell into the river. The senator managed to get out and swim to the coast, but his passenger Mary Joe Kopecne was killed. Kennedy was silent about the incident for ten hours, which led to a national scandal. As a result, the senator received a two-month suspended sentence.

According to producer Mark Chiardi, the story caused a stir across the country, and in the film viewers will see what Senator Kennedy went through.
