The Nipple sisters are preparing a remake of Cronenberg's ”Mad”
Somerville House Releasing and producers Paul Lalonde, John Wiedett and Michael Walker set about creating a film and series based on one of the early works of cult director and ideologue of the body horror genre - David Cronenberg. As reported by Variety , sisters Jen and Sylvia Soska will be staging a full-length remake of the film “ Mad ”.The protagonist of the original film was a girl named Rose who had a serious motorcycle accident. To save her life, the doctors decided to use experimental drugs. After a while, the girl began to feel thirsty for blood, and then discovered that a sting had grown in her armpit. Rose decides to satisfy her hunger, not knowing that she will soon start a massive epidemic of rabies in the city ... Initially, Cronenberg wanted to give the lead female role to Sissy Spacek, but the studio bosses were not satisfied with this candidacy. Then the producer Ivan Reitman suggested David to invite the famous American porn star Marilyn Chambers to audition in order to raise the hype around the tape. As a result, the performance of Chambers not only impressed critics and audiences, but also allowed her to become one of the most famous actresses in adult films who have successfully taken root in the world of big cinema.  Insiders have not yet announced whether the sisters Souska will take part in the work on the TV series based on " Rabid ". The twins made their debut in a big movie in 2009 with the horror "Dead Whore in the Trunk", filmed for only $ 2.5 thousand . Over the years, they have enriched their filmography with such horror films as "American Mary", "ABC of Death 2", "See No Evil 2" and "Blood Revenge".  Filming will begin this summer in Canada.
