CBS is preparing a Nancy Drew TV series
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter , CBS , in collaboration with producers Joan Raiter and Tony Phelan (Anatomy Passion "/ Grey's Anatomy ) begins work on a series about the famous detective Nancy Drew .The future of the show is described asa modern take on a character from the iconic book series. Nancy is 30 years old and works for the New York Police Department. Using her remarkable natural ability to notice what others do not see, the heroine investigates crimes, simultaneously trying to cope with the difficulties of modern life. For the first time Nancy Drew was introduced to readers in 1930, and Edward Streitmeyer is considered its creator. Subsequently, books about the girl detective continued to be written by various authors, and a series was published under the pseudonym Caroline Keane .  Nancy stayed on small screens back in the late 70s. Then on the TV channel ABC came the series "The Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew" ( The Hardy Boys / Nancy Drew Mysteries ), which eventually lasted three seasons. Later various networks tried to re-launch projects about Nancy Drew , but these attempts were unsuccessful.  The detective was a fairly frequent guest on the big screens - back in the 30s, the image of Nancy in four films was tried on by Bonita Granville.
