Lionsgate will find a magical tree house
Lionsgate has acquired the rights to film the book series Magic Tree House ( Magic Tree House ) by American writer Mary Pope Osborne . The portal Variety writes that the leadership of the major plans to create a whole franchise, and now several films based on these popular children's works are in the works.The series includes 54 novels in total. To date, more than 130 million books have been sold, translated into 35 languages. Also, the fictional Osborne world formed the basis of a musical that conquers world stages. The central characters of the series are the boy Jack and his sister Annie , who find a mysterious tree house. It houses a whole collection of books that allow the heroes to travel to different historical eras.  Mary Pope Osborne will executive produce the films, assisted by her husband Will Osborne, who also wrote the first film co-written with Jenny Laird . It is reported that the first will be filmed the 29th novel of the series - Christmas in Camelot , which tells how the already matured Jack and Annie are sent save the legendary castle.
