Ron Howard to direct a Hitchcock-style thriller
Universal has decided to entrust two-time Oscar winner Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind) to film the adaptation of J.P. Delaney's book The Girl Before , the rights to which were acquired in a fierce struggle with other Hollywood majors, reports Deadline . The novel will only go on sale next year, but literary critics have already begun to compare it to the work of Alfred Hitchcock.This psychological thriller will focus on a woman who has recently had a traumatic experience. Life begins to improve when the main character falls in love with the architect and decides to move into his house. However, she soon learns that a girl died there three years ago, whose story is suspiciously similar to her own ... Producers will be Michael de Luca, Brian Grazer, Erica Huggins, Tyler Mitchell, Elisia Holmes and Ron Howard . Next week, Howard will present the drama "In the Heart of the Sea" to audiences, and then begin preparations for the release of the adventure film "Inferno". Professor Robert Langdon will return to screens on October 13, 2016 .
