Lionsgate will play Monopoly
As reported by Variety , Hasbro and Lionsgate will join forces on a movie based on Monopoly .The first attempt to adapt its popular board game Hasbro for the big screen was made in 2008. Initially the project was handled by the studio Universal , which offered Ridley Scott to take the director's chair. A few years later, Monopoly was taken over by Emmett / Furla , and by then Scott had decided to limit himself to producing what was to become a satire to the world of big business.
