Children versus parents
Bron Animation has acquired the film rights to Lois Lowry's popular children's book The Willoughbys , The Hollywood Reporter reports.The plot of the novel is centered on four children who decided that it would be better for them if they became orphans. The eldest child of the Willoughby family leaves the brochures of the travel agency in plain sight to nudge irresponsible parents into the idea of going on some life-threatening journey. Children do not yet know that adults were just waiting for an excuse to realize their own insidious plan. Parents use the opportunity to leave the country to sell their home right with their offspring inside. The fate of the children is in the hands of their new nanny ...  The cartoon will be directed by Adam Wood , who will write the script with Chris Pirne . As an animator for Pixar Wood , he has worked on hits such as Toy Story 2, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, Ratatouille and "Up". Pirna 's track record includes "Hunting Season", "Catch the Wave!" and the dilogy Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Currently Wood is working on another cartoon Bron Animation - Henchmen, the voices of which will be presented by James Marsden, Rosario Dawson and Nathan Fillion.
