Image At the end of this month, StudioCanal and director Justin Kurzel will present the drama Macbeth to USA audiences. The adaptation of the play by William Shakespeare continues to receive rave reviews from film critics, prompting the management of the French studio to continue their collaboration with the Australian film maker.

A new collaboration between Kurzel and StudioCanal will be an adaptation of the book by Adrian Levy and Katie Scott-Clark Siege: 68 hours inside the Taj Mahal , reported by The Tracking Board .

The plot of the book is based on real events that took place in November 2008 in India. Then a series of terrorist attacks swept across Mumbai, as a result of which 164 people died. Within days, Islamic terrorists attacked a train station, police station, hospital and business center, and turned the world famous Taj Mahal hotel into a battlefield. Thanks to the well-coordinated work of the staff, several hundred visitors to the five-star hotel managed to survive the three-day siege.

Oscar nominee Anthony McCarten (Stephen Hawking Universe) will lead the script for the film and Ollie Madden will be producing.

Currently Kurzel is filming the film adaptation of the video game Assassin's Creed, which is scheduled to premiere on December 22, 2016 .
