Pacific Rim 2 Changes Writer
At the end of last year, things were not going well for the sequel " Pacific Rim ". Some publications reported that the studio Legendary Pictures decided to abandon the project forever, while others reported that the blockbuster was still in the works. DeKnight ( Daredevil ) to replace Guillermo del Toro as director. del Toro himself remains the producer of the sequel.The Hollywood Reporter is now reporting that Pacific Rim 2 has a new writer. It will be Derek Connolly , whose filmography includes the successful Jurassic World. Also Connolly managed to work on the pictures "Monster Trucks" and "King Kong: Skull Island". Derek will continue the business started by Guillermo del Toro , Zach Penn and John Spates. However, it is not yet known whether he will write the text of the blockbuster from scratch or use the ideas of his predecessors. According to the original idea, the sequel was supposed to take place several years after the events of the original film. In addition, del Toro planned to bring back everyone who survived the Pacific Rim finale . Among them were the heroes of Charlie Hunnam, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day, Bern Gorman and Ron Perlman.
