Casting: Paxton vs. GTA, Arianda for Meryl Streep
Bill Paxton has begun negotiations to join Daniel Radcliffe on the set of Grand Theft Auto , which we wrote about recently. The project is overseen by BBC Films .As reported by the Thracking Board , Paxton is auditioning for the role of Miami lawyer Jack Thompson , who once opposed violence in the game GTAand was generally known as an ardent opponent of "violent" video games. However, before that, he also called for a ban on rap on the air of American radio stations, so no one really took this activist seriously. Moreover, very quickly he was deprived of the right to practice law for life for improper behavior in court. Radcliffe will appear as the creator of GTA . Known for his roles in Titanic and Apollo 13, Bill Paxton recently appeared in the crime drama Stringer with Jake Gyllenhaal, and his upcoming projects include Lifetime.  As reported by The Hollywood Reporter , the ensemble comedy Is It Easy Being Alone? has been joined by Jason Mantsukas (The Dictator) and Nicholas Brown (The Red State). And another actor, Anders Holm ("Workaholics" / Workaholics ), is in talks. Previously, Dakota Johnson, Leslie Mann, Rebel Wilson and Alison Brie signed up for the project.  The plot of the comedy is based on the novel by Liz Tucchilo and tells the story of the love affairs of five New York women. One of the participants in the events is simultaneously writing a book about the life of bachelors around the world. Brown is preparing for the role of the potential lover of the heroine Dakota Johnson , and Mantsukas will try to pair with the character of Alison Brie . The script was written by Abby Cohn and Mark Silverstein, and the filming, which starts from day to day in New York, will be led by Christian Ditter.  Finally, Nina Arianda ("Humiliation") is heading to the set of Stephen Frears' biopic Florence Foster Jenkins , which has already signed Meryl Streep. Streep will play a rich and powerful woman who, thanks to her connections and money, has achieved success in the musical field, while completely unable to sing. Nina got the role of the sexy dancer Agnes Stark , who is trying to get to the top with the help of her husband. When Agnes hears the singing of Florence for the first time, she will not be able to hold back her laughter, but then she will try to somehow help the main character and eventually become one of her most loyal fans.
