Good omens for Neil Gaiman
Beyond the Door Neil Gaiman was already filmed for small screens in 1996, and Starz has a TV version of American Gods in production. According to the site The Guardian , another work of the writer will go to TV - Gaiman himself will undertake the adaptation of the book Good Omens .The work was co-written by Neil with Terry Pratchett and was published in 1990. Until now, Gaiman has argued that he never independently adapts Good Omens due to the death of Pratchett , but, as it turned out, the latter blessed the science fiction writer in his posthumous letter. In the story, the angel Aziraphale and the demon Crowley fully enjoy earthly life and do not even think about preparing for the end of the world. However, the prediction comes true: the coming of the little Antichrist is expected in the world, which will lead to the Apocalypse. And to prevent it, the angel and the demon are trying to take part in raising the boy so that he does not choose the side of evil or good.  Once Terry Gilliam planned to create a full-length version of Good Omens with Johnny Depp and Robin Williams in the lead roles, but the director's plans were interrupted by the tragedy of September 11th. Gaiman himself said in 2013 that Hollywood is not ready for a film about Antichrist and the Apocalypse.
