Is Indiana Jones coming back in 2018?
In early May, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy announced that Disney is working on the fifth film about the adventures of Indiana Jones , but has not yet to name the approximate dates for the return of the cult movie hero to the screens. Aintitcool reporters share rumors that Lucasfilm and Disney are scheduled to premiere a new part of the franchise at the end of 2018.Disney officials have been slow to confirm this information, but insiders speculate that starting with the eighth episode of Star Wars, the studio wants to return to the tradition of releasing space saga films in May. This move will free the Indiana Jones franchise at least a box-office period - the Christmas and New Year holidays. Disney acquired the rights to shoot new films about the famous adventurer in late 2013. Soon thereafter, rumors surfaced that the company might restart the franchise and find a new Indiana Jones . In recent months, Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy, Jurassic World) has become the main contender for this role.  Earlier this year, Steven Spielberg expressed interest in returning to the director's chair for the fifth film in the series.
