Zach Snyder was inspired by Ayn Rand
It would seem that the director Zach Snyder in the near future will only deal with adaptations of comics DC : for three years the filmmaker worked on the blockbuster "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and has already begun preparations for filming of the first Justice League. However, as it turned out, Snyder had a place in his plans for less ambitious projects, one of which is the adaptation of Ayn Rand's novel.During an interview for The Hollywood Reporter , journalists asked the director what non-superhero projects he had in mind, to which Snyder replied:“I've been working on small and even a bizarre project called The Last Picture. It is about a war photographer working in Afghanistan. I am also adapting The Source Ayn Rand . It's an amazing piece of creativity, and Warner Bros. already has a script. ”. The protagonist of the book Rand is the young architect Howard Roark - a convinced individualist who, in any conditions, remains true to his own ideals. Roark prefers modern architecture to traditional style, and in her work Ayn Rand she opposed individualism to collectivism.  Warner Bros. already filmed The Source in 1949, starring Gary Cooper and Patricia Neal, and Rand .  Prior to the blockbuster Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Zach Snyder worked on films such as Man of Steel, Watchmen, Legends of the Night Watch and 300 Spartans.
