Sam Mendes to Open Voyeur Motel

Image Tired of high-budget blockbusters, the director Sam Mendes has found a project less ambitious for himself than a movie about James Bond . According to the site Deadline , the director will lead the filming of The Voyeur's Motel ( Voyeur's Motel ).

In a competitive struggle, DreamWorks has acquired the film rights to Gay Taliz's eponymous article for The New Yorker and the forthcoming book. Mendes will not only direct the project, but also produce it with Steven Spielberg.

The main character of the upcoming film will be a resident of Colorado Gerald Foos , who opened his own motel with the sole purpose of being able to spy on residents while they have sex. Foos himself considered himself a simple observer of human behavior, but his sins did not end there - Gerald , among other things, once became an accomplice in a murder. Having found drugs at the dealer, he flushed them down the toilet, but the guest considered his girlfriend guilty, and then strangled her. Foos approached the author of the article Taliz to help publish his book on sex, but in the end, the journalist got the voyeur to write a novel about his life.
