ABC is preparing a series about the Watergate scandal
ABC plans to report on the 1972-1974 Watergate scandal that led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon. The portal The Hollywood Reporter writes about it.The drama was originally written by Robert S. Cooper (Stargate SG-1 / Stargate SG-1 ) and written by John Maas (Final Discussion). The story of the infamous political scandal will be shown through the eyes of John Dean , adviser to President Nixon . One of the sources of ideas for the plot will be the biography of Dean , published in 2014 - The Nixon Defense: What He Knew and When He Knew It ( The Nixon Defense : What and when he knew " ), as well as The Women of Watergate ( The Women of Watergate ) Alden Duer Cohen and The System ( The System ) Jason Groot . The series, set during the Sexual Revolution, is described as a thriller about a man who believed he had found his dream job. However, over time, having visited the Oval Office more than once, Dean realized that the White House is a snake pit, and in itself they see only a scapegoat.
