Thunder Road Films Dystopia of Future Prisoners
Basil Ivanik's company Thunder Road has acquired the film rights to the debut novel by Peter Lini The Detainee . Reported by The Hollywood Reporter .The plot of the book will be adapted by Grant Pierce Myers, who prepared the script for the blockbuster "The Maze Runner", which grossed $ 340 million worldwide. The events in the novel take place in the near future, when the main character, along with the rest of the dregs of society, is sent to a remote settlement on the island. Over those who try to leave the prison, the robotic caretakers will immediately administer justice. But the more frightening of the inhabitants of the island are those nights when fog descends on the settlement, and gangs of young criminals make brutal raids. After the main character finds a blind girl living in secret tunnels, the older generation has a chance to survive.  Ivanik ("John Wick", "Clash of the Titans"), Christian Angermeier ("Goethe!")
