Long-list of nominees for the animated Oscar - 2016
Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has released a list of animated films nominated for the " Academy Awards ".16 cartoons have entered the race for the prestigious film award, but some of them have yet to pass qualifying screenings in Los Angeles to prove their right to remain on the expanded list of nominees. The shortlist for the Academy Awards will be announced on January 14th and the 88th Oscars Awards will take place on February 28, 2016 in the building Dolby Theater . Chris Rock will be the host of the event for the second time in his life. The long list in the category " Best Animated Film " includes: "Anomalies" "Sean the Sheep" "Memories of Marnie" "Puzzle"  "SpongeBob in 3D" Child of the Monster "Home" "Laws of the Universe: Part 0"  "Boy and the World" "Minions" "Monsters on Vacation 2" "Moomins on the Riviera"  "Normal Show: Movie" "The Prophet" "Snoopy and the Big-Bellied Little Thing in the Movies" The Good Dinosaur
