Maria Sklodowska-Curie will receive a biopic

Image According to The Hollywood Reporter , the Polish Cinematography Committee has announced the start of work on a biographical drama about the life of Maria Sklodowska-Curie . Germany, France and Belgium will take part in the creation of the project.

The biopic will be the first feature film about the famous scientist since the black and white film Madame Curie by MGM . In 1911 Maria for the first time in history became a two-time winner of the Nobel Prize . In 1903 she received an award in physics, and eight years later she was awarded this award for her achievements in the development of chemistry.

The cast of the drama includes Daniel Olbrychsky (With Fire and Sword), Andre Wilms (Le Havre), Charles Burling (Pretend My Boyfriend), Sabine Tambrea (Ludwig of Bavaria) and Samuel Finzi (The Seducer). Karolina Grushka ("In August 1944") will appear on the screen as Sklodowska-Curie .


The director's chair of the biopic will be taken by Marie Noel ("The Anarchist's Wife"). Reportedly, the film crew expects to visit Brussels, Paris, Munich, Krakow and Lodz. The film is scheduled to premiere in February 2016.
