The American film company WachaFilms is going to acquaint the modern audience with the life and exploits of Prince Alexander Yaroslavich Nevsky , reports ScreenDaily . The film about one of the most prominent figures in our history will be directed and written by two-time Oscar nominee Michael Radford (1984, The Postman).Insiders have not yet announced how accurate the film will be from a historical point of view, but the producers themselves say that there will be a place in it for both a love line and large-scale battle scenes. WachaFilms are currently looking for partners at the Cannes Film Festival to provide Redford with a solid budget to implement all of his ideas. The life story of the defender of the USA land has already been transferred to the big screen several times. The most famous film about the commander is considered to be "Alexander Nevsky" by Sergei Eisenstein. The historical drama of 1938 gained immense popularity in the Soviet Union, and also had a significant impact on the work of many famous foreign filmmakers.  It remains to be hoped that Michael Radford will not only be able to amaze the audience with scenes of bloody battles on the Battle of the Neva and Battle of the Ice , but will also successfully reveal the character of the Grand Duke , in 1547 canonized.
