Kate Beckinsale returns to Underworld
According to The Hollywood Reporter , Kate Beckinsale has signed on to appear in Underworld: The New Generation .Work on the project kicked off last year when Lakeshore Entertainment and Screen Gems announced that the fifth installment of the hit film series will focus on the next generation of vampires and werewolves. At the same time it became known that the cast of the film will be headed by Theo James ("Divergent"), whose hero the fans of the franchise met in the fourth part - "Underworld: Awakening". Last October, director Len Wiseman noted that the fifth film will not be a reboot, but a spin-off.  The script was written by Corey Goodman (Shepherd), and the director's chair will be Anna Forster , for whom The New Generation will be her big-screen debut. Previously, Anna served as the second director of the blockbuster "The Day After Tomorrow" and the operator of the action movie "Storming the White House." She also plans to work on the sequel to the sci-fi thriller Source Code.  Filming for " New Generation " will start in October in Prague.
