DC is preparing a killer joke
According to the portal Batman-News , the studio DC announced at the Comic-Con festival an animated film based on one of the most famous graphic novels about The Dark Knight - Batman: The Killing Joke .In the comic by the author of The Guardians and the "V" Means Vendetta "Alan Moore, the readers were introduced to the backstory of the cult rival Batman - Joker . The graphic novel was critically acclaimed and won the prestigious Will Eisner Award in the 1989 comic book industry. As part of the Suicide Squad promo campaign, Warner Bros. and DC used images of Jared Leto as The Joker , which recreated illustrations from the famous comic book. The story of Moore served as a source of inspiration for Tim Burton on Batman, and was carefully studied by Heath Ledger in preparation for his role as the villain in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight.  The names of the actors dubbing the cartoon are still kept secret, but a couple of years ago the desire to return to the image of the Joker in the adaptation of " Killing Joke " was expressed by the legendary Mark Hamill, who gave his voice to the antagonist in many animation projects and video games.  It has not yet been announced whether DC will keep the tradition of releasing its cartoons directly on video. Batman: The Killing Joke is scheduled to release in 2016.
