Spielberg found his first player
Warner Bros. Studio and director Steven Spielberg have finally found the lead for Ready Player One , reports Deadline . Thus, Olivia Cook and Ben Mendelssohn, who have already signed up to take part in the shooting, will be accompanied by Tye Sheridan .The events of the film, based on the novel of the same name by Ernest Kline, revolve around a virtual game called OASIS , which can even replace the real world for users. While dying, the owner of the company says that he left Easter eggs in the OASIS universe, and whoever finds them and survives will become the full heir to a huge empire. The main character, a teenager Wade ( Sheridan ), decides on such an exciting quest, but he will be opposed by dangerous enemies who are ready to do anything to get out of the game as winners. Olivia Cook will play a blogger from Canada named Sam , who also takes part in the game and is seriously into Wade , and Ben Mendelssohn will embody the image of the main antagonist of the film - Nolan Sorrento , a top manager of an Internet company trying to take control of the OASIS .  Steven Spielberg will lead the film adaptation, written by Zach Penn (The Incredible Hulk). The filmmaker is also producing the project with Donald De Line, Dan Farah and Christy Makosco Krieger. The world premiere of the film is scheduled for March 30, 2018 .  The debut of Ty Sheridan in the big cinema took place in 2011 in the drama The Tree of Life, and in May the actor will appear in the blockbuster X-Men: Apocalypse as the young Cyclops .
