Ava DuVerney became interested in science fiction
After the phenomenal work of Ava DuVernay on the drama "Selma", noted by many critics, the director received several tempting offers. According to the portal Collider , DuVernay has been invited to lead the shooting of two more projects. The first is the adaptation of the classic novel by Madeleine L'Engle A Rift in Time , and the second is the sci-fi movie Intelligent Life , written by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly ("Jurassic World").A Rift in Time follows the adventures of 13-year-old Meg , whose father, who was engaged in secret scientific research for the government, disappeared. Based on the L'Engle book series, which is often compared to The Chronicles of Narnia , Disney plans to create a new franchise. Jennifer Lee (Frozen) wrote the script for the first film.  The second project, proposed by DuVernay , has been long worked by Colin Trevorrow . It is reported that the film will focus on an employee of the UN from the department, which should represent humanity in any contact with alien races. The hero falls in love with a mysterious woman, but then it turns out that she herself is an alien.  After the success of Selma Ave DuVernay was offered to lead the shooting of the blockbuster "Black Panther", but she refused, arguing that Marvel would not give she has enough creative freedom.
