Lionsgate will fight Romeo and Juliet
Companies 1821 Media and POW! Entertainment will join forces with Lionsgate to film the graphic novel Romeo and Juliet: The War ( Romeo and Juliet: The War ) , transfers Variety .Stan Lee and Terry Dugas have the idea of creating the original, which is a new version of the classic work of William Shakespeare, and its implementation was carried out by author Max Work and artist Skan Srisuwan . The events of the novel unfold in the future, when the Empire of Verona turned into the most powerful territory of the planet Earth. Montagues are powerful cyborgs based on artificial DNA, Capulets are genetically enhanced humans known for their outstanding speed and agility. Previously, both races together destroyed all enemies, defending their native land, but now, when there was no one to fight, they started a war against each other. And in such difficult circumstances, a guy from the Montagues clan falls in love with a girl from Capulet . They want to get married in order to reconcile the opposing sides, but forces beyond the control of the heroes threaten to destroy not only their lives, but also Verona itself ...  “It is a great pleasure for us to collaborate with Lionsgate on this project,- confessed Stan Lee . -The story of Romeo and Juliet is one of my favorites, and I look forward to seeing our version of this classic fairytale make it to the big screens..
