The Coen Brothers will follow the trail of dirty money
As it became known to the publication Deadline , Joel and Ethan Coens will start adapting Ross MacDonald's crime novel Black Money ( in another version - "Dirty Money" ), the rights to the film adaptation of which were acquired by the studio Warner Bros. The duo of filmmakers also claim to subsequently lead the shooting of the film. The project will be produced by Joel Silver.The work of the renowned master of noir detectives is part of the series about the adventures of private detective Lew Archer .The hero is hired by a guy who was recently abandoned by a girl, with the sole purpose of finding compromising evidence on her new French boyfriend. Archer gets down to business, which seems to be just a showdown of former lovers. But the investigation takes an unexpected turn when it turns out that a mysterious alien is mysteriously linked to a suicide seven years ago and gambling debts ...  The first appearance of Lew Archer on the screens (albeit under the name Lew Harper ) took place in 1966 in the film "Harper", where the character was played by Paul Newman. And in the 70s, the hero of the novels MacDonald even got his own series called "Archer" ( Archer ).  The Coens brothers recently completed filming for their new film, Ave Caesar !, featuring George Clooney, Channing Tatum, Scarlett Johansson and Jonah Hill.
