Banderas will fight the pirates
One of the most striking images in the career of Antonio Banderas was the Musician and Zorro. According to The Hollywood Reporter , the Hollywood heartthrob has signed on for the lead role in the adventure comedy Salty , which will allow him to take up the guitar and sword again.The plot of the film will be based on the novel of the same name by Mark Haskell Smith, which is described by critics as a mixture of "The Hangover in Vegas" and "This is Spinal Tap." Carnaby Sales & Distribution started developing the project last spring. Smith and Toby Davis were entrusted with the script for the film, and Simon West ("Prison in Air", "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider") was invited to direct. Banderas will appear on screen as Terk Henry , the bassist of the recently disbanded multi-platinum band. One fine day, the main character decides to relax in a luxury Chilean resort with his capricious supermodel wife. When the faithful is kidnapped by local pirates who have never exhausted themselves by physical labor, the musician is forced to undertake a rescue mission that will lead him to the slums of Santiago and the South American jungle.  "This project brought together three main passions in my life - cinema, music and humor", admitted Banderas . Filming in Chile will begin next month, but for now Carnaby is looking for comedy distributors at the 69th Cannes Film Festival .
