21 Laps Entertainment has acquired the rights to the script by Paul Gerstenberger (Street Dancing 3: All Stars) The Woods Run Red , which combines elements of action, comedy and horror. According to The Tracking Board , on the sidelines of Hollywood, the project has already earned comparisons with such films as The Cabin in the Woods and The Predator.The main characters of the film will be government agents who decide to impersonate a group of gullible teenagers in order to catch a bloody maniac who lives in a forest hut on the shore of a lake. The head of 21 Laps Entertainment Sean Levy will be producing the tape. The film maker is known to the general public as the director of the comedy "The Pink Panther", the trilogy "Night at the Museum" and the fantastic action movie "Real Steel". Insiders have yet to say if Sean is running for the director's chair for The Woods Run Red .
