Reese Witherspoon talks about the creation of Barbie
The production company Reese Witherspoon Pacific Standard has acquired the rights to film the book Robin Gerber " Barbie and Ruth " about the life of the creator herself famous doll in the world, reports The Tracking Board. The idea of creating a Barbie came to the mind of the American Ruth Handler when she noticed that her daughter Barbara does not like to play with dolls, but prefers act out scenes from the life of parents using paper figures. The woman decided to come up with a doll for girls that would represent an adult woman. Ruth offered to release such a toy to her spouse and part-time business partner in the company Mattel , but he was skeptical about the idea. In 1956, while traveling across Europe, Ruth came across a German doll Build Lilly . Handler acquired several of these toys, and after returning to America began to redesign their designs. The Barbie presentation took place on March 9, 1959 at the American International Toy Fair . The doll attracted such interest from the public that Mattel rushed to launch it into mass production.  It is curious that some time ago Witherspoon was considered one of the candidates for the role of Barbie in the project of the studio Sony . Reese will be produced by Bruna Papandrea as producer of the biopic Handler and curated by Jeanne Snow. The filmmakers are currently looking for a screenwriter.
