The Beverly Hills Cop sequel is coming to Netflix
Paramount Pictures has given up the idea of releasing the fourth installment of the Beverly Hills Cop action movie, as well as the idea of rebooting the once popular project with other actors. According to Deadline, she instead signed a contract with the streaming service Netflix, which will allow the latter to take over the production of the movie. Eddie Murphy will again play the role of police officer from Detroit Axel Foley, the movie will be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, who also worked on the original tape 1984 release. The director and scriptwriter of the project has not yet been chosen. Let us remind you that the first episode was very successful at the box office. With a production budget of just $ 14 million, she grossed over $ 300 million worldwide. In 1987, the sequel earned a comparable amount, but the result of the third part, presented in 1994, was already much more modest - $ 119 million with a budget of 50 million. Note also that Paramount is trying to revive another popular story in the past with the participation of Eddie Murphy: to shoot the sequel to the comedy "A Trip to America".
