According to the portal Collider , the online service Netflix and Angelina Jolie will join forces to work on the drama First They Killed My Father .The film will be based on Lung Ang's memoirs First They Killed My Father: A Daugher of Cambodia Remembers ( They First Killed My Father: Memories of Cambodia's Daughter ). In them, the author talks about how she managed to survive under the Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia. Together with Ang Jolie she wrote a script for a new project, and is also preparing to lead the shooting of the picture and start producing it. Lung Ang was five years old when the Khmer Rouge came to power in Cambodia in 1975. From that moment on, a period of terror and genocide began, which claimed the lives of two million inhabitants. The girl was taken from her home in Phnom Penh and sent to a military training camp for orphans, while her six brothers and sisters were sent to labor camps.  “I was amazed by this book.
