Twin Peaks sequel will receive 18 episodes
Welcome To Twin Peaks reports that at Crypticon Festival in Seattle, actresses Sherilyn Fenn and Sherrill Lee shared the latest information on the preparations for the filming of the new season of Twin Peaks .Showtime launched its third season last October, but David Lynch announced in early April that he was leaving the project. Last week, the creator of the cult mystical thriller hastened to reassure his fans, saying that all disagreements with the channel's management have been settled. The Showtime bosses originally planned to order nine episodes, but now Fenn and Lee are reporting that the new season will be 18 episodes. Officials from the channel have so far refrained from commenting. The news for the fans of the series will be the information that the music for the third season will be written by Angelo Badalamenti . In 1990, the composer's work on the soundtrack for Twin Peaks received three Emmy nominations.  According to the actresses, viewers will also return to the Double R Diner , which will once again use a cafe in the town of North Bend.  Filming for the new season of " Twin Peaks " will begin in September, and the series' characters will return to the screens next year.
