Goddard Lost
As the website The Tracking Board was able to exclusively learn, Fox has decided to hire the incredibly in-demand director Drew Goddard to work on a full-length adaptation of the science fiction novel A . J. Riddle Departure .The plot of the book resembles the cult TV series "Lost" ( Lost ) and revolves around a group of people who, after a terrible plane crash, found themselves somewhere in the countryside of England. As the main characters try to fight for their survival, they begin to realize that they have gathered in this place and at this time for a reason. And in order to return home, they have to understand the reason for what happened and accept it ... Interestingly, this novel by Riddle was originally published online, but soon after The Departure became a sensation among science fiction fans, the author was attacked by major publishers and for a seven-figure sum in the contract, the rights to publication were bought. The paper version of the book has sold over a million copies and Fox is currently trying to recruit Riddle to write the film.  After the acclaimed directorial debut, The Cabin in the Woods horror, Drew Goddard began to receive one tempting offer after another. Among them was Ridley Scott's ambitious project The Martian, for which Drew wrote a script based on Andy Weir's book, which is very difficult to transfer to the big screen.
