Fox is preparing a film about a hopeless superhero
Already with such successful comic book adaptations as the X-Men and Deadpool franchises in stock, 20th Century Fox has decided to venture into another superhero universe. According to the website Deadline , the major has acquired the rights to film the graphic novel Irredeemable ( Hopeless ) from the publishing house Boom! Comics .The adaptation of the original will be handled by Tommy Virkola (Witch Hunters), and will be directed by Adam McKay , this year's Oscar winner for the Short Games script. ... McKay is a big comic book fan and is no stranger to working in the superhero genre. For example, the filmmaker, together with Paul Rudd, wrote the lyrics for Ant-Man and its sequel. Mark Wade comic was first published in 2009 and has 37 issues.The plot of the series revolves around Plutonian - the greatest superhero in history. However, he soon begins to heartlessly destroy the population of the Earth, especially those who express open disobedience. A group of superheroes consisting of former colleagues of the tyrant intends to stop Plutonian . Each of them is full of problems of their own, and their powers cannot be compared with the power of Plutonian .
