Parks ("Men in Black 3"), Laurie MacDonald ("The Crew") and Owen Shiflett acquired the rights to the television adaptation of the comic strip RASL .This black and white graphic novel, by Jeff Smith , is a noir science fiction comic strip.At the center of the action is a scientist turned art thief. He manages to carry out his atrocities thanks to the movement between parallel universes. At the same time, the hero is trying to escape from his own past and build a completely new life. It is curious that the rights to the full-length adaptation of the comic were acquired four years ago by Wigram Productions . But, according to Walter Parks , the ideal format for bringing RASL to the screen is a TV series, since the graphic novel contains elements of science fiction, fantasy, as well as many strong characters and reflections on hot topics.
