The renowned German director Roland Emmerich will shoot a new science fiction disaster movie called "Moonfall". According to Deadline, the plot will focus on a "group of losers" who will have to save the Earth from imminent catastrophe, as the Moon has left its orbit and is moving towards our planet. The official synopsis description states that the main characters will "face an unknown and incomprehensible force that will challenge everything that we know about the Moon, the Universe and ourselves." The script was prepared by Emmerich himself. Filming, which has a production budget of $ 150 million, is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2020.
