Will Gene Wilder work with Spielberg?
According to rumors, Steven Spielberg met with Gene Wilder (Young Frankenstein, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory) to coax the 82-year-old actor into filming his new project. " Ready Player One " based on the book of the same name by Ernest Klein. There is no official confirmation that the meeting really took place, but according to the journalists of Collider , Wilder is an excellent candidate for the role of James Halliday , the talented computer game programmer and developer who has created a successful online project called OASIS .This is much more than just a game: OASIS is a whole virtual universe that can almost completely replace the real world. In his will, Halliday mentioned the existence of an Easter egg in the virtual world. Whoever finds him will receive his incredibly large fortune. Doesn't it remind you of Vili Wonka with his chocolate factory?  True, Spielberg is now working on another project - the film "The Big and Kind Giant" based on the novel by the British classic Roald Dahl, but the shooting of this film has already been completed, and therefore it is unlikely that the director at this stage needed to invite a new one actor. Gene Wilder was last seen on screen in Tom Donahue's documentary Casting, which was released in 2012. The big and kind giant ( BDV ) will appear on USA screens on July 1, 2016, and the American release of the film about Easter eggs in virtual reality is scheduled for December 15, 2017 .
