Angry Birds and Tom Hanks Hologram: Watch This Week
Domestic distributors decided that the main premiere of the coming week will be the project "Angry Birds in the Movies" - a screen version of the cult series of computer games in which the player must shoot pigs from a slingshot with birds. Sounds almost like an insult to someone who considers himself a moviegoer, doesn't it? However, authoritative critics (in particular, the Variety edition) have already rushed to reject their snobbery and pass the verdict to the film:“exceeds all the most cynical expectations”.In addition to absolutely fantastic, even by modern standards, computer graphics, birds that have problems with anger management will delight you with excellent unconventional jokes, and your children (from six years old, according to the rating) - unexpected morality. Already at this stage, it is clear that the directors of this tape, at the very beginning of the development of the project, having the status of beginners, are now preparing to safely move into the caste of those in demand. Thus, if you have already watched the premieres of last week, and your soul asks for a bright and not burdensome spectacle for your brain, you can go to the Angry Birds session without fear of wasting money.  Film fans who prefer serious films are advised to pay attention to the new adaptation of the eminent master of spy thrillers John Le Carre, based on whose novels such films as "The Gardener Loyal" and "Spy Get Out!" Were filmed, as well as the successful British mini-series " Night Manager "( The Night Manager ). Another film adaptation of Le Carre , the film "The same traitor as we are" , boasts a powerful cast (Ewan McGregor, Damien Lewis, Stellan Skarsgard) and good reviews from foreign reviewers ... In particular, they noted that the film is not only distinguished by an exciting visual range, but also raises a number of issues that are relevant for a modern person.  Another interesting novelty next week will be Tom Tykwer's project “ A hologram for the king " . The films of Tykwer can be treated in different ways, but who definitely never disappoints the audience, so it is the leading actor - Tom Hanks. In Hologram , which is positioned by the creators as a comedy drama, Hanks played a businessman on the brink of bankruptcy trying to solve his problems with one original project in Saudi Arabia. Judging by the first reviews, it makes sense to leave money for a session of this tape only for avid fans of the Tom who is an actor, since the Tom -director made the film, where, except for the name and the main character, there is nothing interesting. However, in terms of atmosphere and mood, some have compared Hologram for the King with Lost in Translation, and if there is even a grain of truth in this comparison, the Tykvera tape will find its viewer even in competition with birds of war and serious McGregor . For connoisseurs of French cinematography, distributors are offering two premieres at once - the provocative drama Chocolate and the touching romantic comedy Love Is Out of Size . The first picture is notable for the fact that the main role in it was played by the infinitely charming Omar Si from the shrill hit movie "1 + 1". In Chocolate, C played a black clown who revived the career of his white colleague by allowing him to mock him in the arena. And it is the work of Omar that is most often praised by critics in reviews of this film.  As for the comedy "Love is not in size" , it is about a beautiful, intelligent, charming man who has only one drawback - small stature (a little more than a meter). This fact becomes both the subject of jokes and comical situations, and the main test that the heroes of the story have to overcome. Jean Dujardin, the Oscar-winning star of the silent film The Artist, will appear on the screens as an enviable little man.  And finally, Black Holidays await everyone who goes to the cinema to tickle their nerves. The horror anthology, among the directors of which Kevin Smith appeared (which should inspire some hope), exploits the theme of human phobias associated with certain holiday dates. Reviews of this project contain such epithets as"dumb," "tedious," "corny"and"frustrating", and the intimidating elements in this hodgepodge are dominated by for some reason paranormal pregnancies and wildly scary children. But the beauty of anthologies is that you can always find something interesting and valuable for yourself in such bags with unnecessary gifts for throwing away.
