Good news for the multi-million dollar army of Bond fans came from Hollywood. As it became known to The Hollywood Reporter, the 25th film about the adventures of Agent 007 has finally officially found a director, a leading actor, distributors and a start date for filming.|
In the summer of 2015, it became known that the blockbuster "007: SPECTRUM" will be the last joint Bond film for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Sony Pictures. All leading Hollywood studios immediately joined the fight for the distribution rights for new films about the British super agent. Last year, MGM signed an agreement with Annapurna Pictures, and now Universal is also involved in the film. Under the terms of the deal, MGM and Annapurna will take over the North American distribution of Bond 25, and Universal will receive rights to distribute the tape to the rest of the world.
Daniel Craig will return to the role of 007. A couple of years ago, the actor tried to hang the tuxedo on a nail and threatened to open his veins at the mere mention of Bond's name. As a result, the producers of the franchise still managed to make Craig an offer, which he could not refuse. According to preliminary data, the Briton's fee for participating in the filming of Bond 25 will amount to $ 25 million, excluding interest on the film's profit at the box office.
As expected, the director's chair will be taken by Oscar-winning Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire), who will direct the script by John Hodge (Trainspotting). Filming of the spy thriller will begin on December 3 at the famous London studio Pinewood.
The world premiere of Bond 25 is scheduled for October 25, 2019.
