Fitzgerald's Heroes will be on TV again
Last year, the online service Amazon presented viewers with the stylish costumed drama The Last Tycoon, based on an unfinished novel by Francis Scott Fitzgerald. According to Deadline, last year's producer David A. Stern is preparing a television adaptation of yet another classic of American literature. Stern's company, Sleeping Giant Films, will join forces with Playground Entertainment on the adaptation of Tender is the Night.In 1998, Modern Library ranked Fitzgerald's novel number 28 on the list of the 100 best English-language books of the 20th century. The plot of a literary work is semi-biographical. In 1932, after a series of seizures, the writer's wife was sent to the Henry Phipps Hospital in Baltimore, where she was diagnosed with schizophrenia. Francis made the main character of the book by American psychiatrist Dick Diver, who marries his patient Nicole ... Playground Entertainment and Sleeping Giant Films will be the third screen version of Tender Night. In 1962, Henry King's tape with Jason Robards and Jennifer Jones in the lead roles appeared on the cinema screens, which did not gain much success at the box office, but received an Oscar nomination in the Best Song category. Twenty-three years later, the BBC prepared its interpretation of the book. Dick and Nicole Divers in the Robert Knights miniseries are played by Peter Strauss and Mary Steenburgen.  David A.
