According to Deadline, last year's producer David A. Stern is preparing a television adaptation of yet another classic of American literature. Stern's company, Sleeping Giant Films, will join forces with Playground Entertainment on the adaptation of Tender is the Night.

In 1998, Modern Library ranked Fitzgerald's novel number 28 on the list of the 100 best English-language books of the 20th century. The plot of a literary work is semi-biographical.
