Rebel Wilson will travel to Australia
Pitch Perfect star Rebel Wilson is cast in the Australian historical drama Les Norton, based on the book series of the same name by Robert G. Barrett. This is reported by the publication Deadline. The showrunner of the ten-episode series will be Morgan O'Neill (On the Ridge).The action of the show will unfold in 1985, and in the center of the plot will be Les Norton from the remote province of Queensland. Trying to escape from a troubled past, he travels to Sydney, where he takes a job as a bouncer at the notorious illegal casino in King's Cross. Soon, the hero, fascinated by the illegal flair of the city, finds himself drawn into the network of the criminal underground. Rising star Alexander Bertrand will play the title character, and will be joined by David Wenham (Iron Fist) and Wilson. The episodes were directed by Jocelyn Moorhouse (Haute Couture's Revenge), David Caesar (Dirty Deeds), O'Neill, and aspiring director Fadia Abboud. Christopher Lee (Our Secret Life), Samantha Winston (Raiders) and Shanti Gajon (Dance Academy) will sit in the script room of the project.
