Paramount will gather the stupid ones again
The Hollywood remake machine never sleeps. Producers are constantly finding new films and series that, in their opinion, are no longer relevant and should get a modern version. The next victim of the fashion for remakes this time will be the youth comedy Clueless.The 1995 painting was, in turn, a loose adaptation of Jane Austen's novel Emma. It was about the rich and popular, but very narrow-minded schoolgirl Cher Horowitz, who once decides that she likes to do good deeds - to be a pimp for teachers, to help an unprepossessing new girl adapt to school ... "Clueless" grossed $ 56 million, received a remake in the form of a television series of the same name, and will soon premiere a theatrical production, written by Amy Heckerling, director and screenwriter of the original film. Well, a few years ago, Iggy Azalea released a video for the song "Fancy", which became an homage to "Clueless". Also, the tape was one of the first notable works of the then young Alicia Silverstone, Brittany Murphy and Paul Rudd.  Tracey Oliver (Flying Girls) and Marquita Robinson (Glitter) are remaking Clueless for Paramount. The first one will act as the producer of the project, and the second one - the scriptwriter. The details of the new version are unknown, and it is difficult to predict whether the film will follow the path of the critically acclaimed "Suspiria" or join the company of unsuccessful remakes, which, unfortunately, are much more common.
