Django sang with Zorro

Image No matter how much Hollywood producers tried to bring Zorro back to the big screens, nothing came of it. However, soon the legendary masked hero will probably visit cinemas, and not alone, but in the company of Django.

Quentin Tarantino invited actor and screenwriter Jerrod Carmichael ("The Carmichael Show") to work on the text of the film "Django / Zorro", based on the comic book of the same name. The graphic novels are a direct sequel to Django Unchained. Work on them started back in 2014. Then Tarantino came up with the concept of future comics, and Matt Wagner became the author of picture books. In the same year, as a result of the hacking of Sony servers, the public gained access to the correspondence of the studio bosses, where the film adaptation of "Django / Zorro" was just mentioned. However, only now journalists have been able to confirm that the film adaptation is indeed in development.

The comic takes place several years after the events of Django Unchained. Django, who became a bounty hunter, still hunts down bad people. Fate brings him to the southwest, where, by pure chance, he meets the aged Diego de la Vega. Django sincerely admires his new acquaintance, because he is the first white rich man who does not care about his skin color and who is able to stand up for himself in a fight. Django becomes Diego's bodyguard and soon finds himself embroiled in the struggle to free the local indigenous population from cruel slavery.

It is not yet known what role in the project is assigned to Tarantino himself. Perhaps he will co-write the script or even lead the shooting, which, however, insiders doubt. Most likely, Quentin will transfer the reins of the director to another person, and he will take care of his tenth film, which, most likely, will put an end to his career.

It is curious that some journalists consider Carmichael also the main contender for the role of Django, since Jamie Foxx's participation in the filming of the project is highly doubtful.
