The Avengers continue their triumphant march through the cinemas of the United States, which no one doubted before the start of the weekend (May 4-6). Hardly anyone imagined that "Overboard", "Tully" or "Lair of the Monster" would be able to oppose anything to the Marvel blockbuster, but if the remake of the 80s comedy did not hit the face, then the rest of the newcomers earned a little more for two $ 5 millionInfinity War, meanwhile, has lost 56% of its audience: an expected figure for a picture of this magnitude. The last week brought the Avengers an additional $ 112.5 million, and now their total earnings for ten days at the box office is $ 450.8 million. The Force Awakens took just one day less in 2015 to break the $ 450 million mark. As for the worldwide distribution, here "War of Infinity" set another record, collecting $ 1 billion faster than anyone in the history of cinema, and this despite the fact that the blockbuster has not yet premiered in China. If we talk about Marvel movie comics, then there are only six billionaires among them, and the Russo brothers' tape is now one of them.  There are many reasons for such a high interest of viewers in the third "Avengers". Marvel fans have been waiting for years for the climax to which the cinematic universe has been heading for over ten years. And brothers Russo met the expectations of the fans: "War of Infinity" is striking in its scope and coolness. And even though sometimes the confrontation between Thanos and a whole cohort of superheroes reaches the point of absurdity, the whole production is simply pleasant to watch.  As for the closest pursuer of Infinity War, the film Overboard, it lagged behind the leader by almost $ 100 million. However, from the remake of the 1987 comedy of the same name, one should not expect a quick start, and the $ 14.8 million earned by the film is quite a worthy start. ... The film's achievements include the high A- score given to it by cinema visitors, although initially most viewers probably treated the next reworking of the classics with a fair amount of skepticism. However, the creators of Overboard did not persuade the critics. And although the main characters were swapped for a change, the remake has not escaped the problems of most modern comedies. The plot develops slowly, and the jokes turned out to be so flat that the reviewers thought that the script was written by some robot or a group of not very talented authors, who thought that the main thing was to bring together all the trends of modern cinema.  Paramount is still pleased with the thriller "Quiet Place", which has mastered an additional $ 7.6 million. Now the assets of John Krasinski's tape have $ 159.9 million, and this is only at home. Apparently, according to this indicator, "Quiet Place" will remain in fourth position in the list of highest grossing releases among supernatural horror films, since the result of "The Exorcist" ($ 232.9 million excluding inflation) is unlikely to be surpassed. The fourth line of the top 5 and the amount of $ 4.9 million went to the comedy "Pretty Woman for the Whole Head" last weekend. Still, the film by Abby Cohn and Mark Silverstein turned out to be quite specific and could not interest the sophisticated audience: with a $ 32 million budget, he earned only $ 37.8 million.
