Hunt the Assassin
Late last month, we reported that online service Netflix had won the rights to film Matthew Baker's Sentence for Life in a competitive battle, and now a serious war has broken out to adapt another science fiction story. According to the Deadline news site, 20th Century Fox will bring Christian Cantrell's Epoch Index to the big screens.The source claims that along with Fox, five more studios fought for the rights to the story. The Major has even selected a director for the project: Brad Peyton (San Andreas Rift). It will be written by Justin B. Rhodes (Hired Assassins) and produced by Matt Reeves (War for the Planet of the Apes) and his company, 6th & Idaho. On weekdays, Quinn Mitchell works as a spy, analyzing data for the CIA, and in the evenings and weekends, she turns into a loving wife and mother. After a series of professional failures, Quinn is preparing to restore her good name by completing a new assignment: she has to solve a number of strange contract killings. On each victim, investigators find a three-digit number tattooed, scorched, or simply carved into the skin. The main character sits on the tail of the killer, who is always one step ahead, but soon their lives are intertwined in an unpredictable way ...  In April, Brad Peyton will present to the audience the blockbuster "Rampage", which has become the next collaboration between the director and Dwayne Johnson.
