Gremlins will receive an animated prequel
Hardly any of the moviegoers had doubts that in the age of general remake addiction and universal sequelization, Warner Bros. will ignore the Gremlins franchise. The talks about the shooting of the third film in the series have been going on since early 2013. A superstar team had a hand in its creation: the script was written by Chris Columbus, the production was in charge of Joe Dante, and the producer was Steven Spielberg. The Christmas horror comedy became a 100% box office hit and won five Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Academy Awards, but received controversial press coverage. The thing is that many critics did not expect that there would be many scenes of violence in a picture with a children's rating. Spielberg listened to the opinion of journalists and suggested that the American Association of Film Companies introduce a new age limit for such cases - PG-13.  In 1990, the movie "Gremlins 2: The New Batch" was released. The creators of the sequel focused on comedic elements and tempered the dark tones. As a result, the tape received good reviews in the press, but disappointed many fans of the original, which is eloquently evidenced by the fact that its fees were three times lower than the first Gremlins. In the 35th anniversary year of the franchise, Warner Bros. and Steven Spielberg's company Amblin Entertainment have finally decided to create a new project about gremlins. The owners of the rights to the famous film brand have given the green light to a so far unnamed animated series that will tell about the amazing adventures of Gizmo and its first owner, Mr. Wing. In the original dilogy, the image of the magway's master was embodied by Kay Luke.  Tse Chun will act as the producer and head of the author's group of the animated series, who has already managed to establish himself well on North American TV thanks to his work on the Gotham Telecomic.
