The filming of his most sensational long-term construction, the film "The Man Who Killed Don Quixote", director Terry Gilliam finished last summer, which he happily told fans on Facebook. Now, when the duplicated trailer of the long-suffering project has appeared on the Web, the USA fans of the cult film maker can breathe calmly: this means that the film is going to reach our cinemas.Recall that in fact, work on "The Man Who Killed Don Quixote" began in 1998, but was stopped by funding problems, as well as the annoying flood, which damaged the scenery, and the serious injury of the leading actor (then he was named Jean Rochefort). Since then, Terry Gilliam has repeatedly tried to return to the filming of this film, but every time something went wrong. And now, finally, we can evaluate the first results of his titanic labors.  In the center of the plot is a young director Tobias Grammett, who returned for inspiration to the land where he once filmed his first film. And he discovered that one of his actors, an old shoemaker who played Don Quixote of La Mancha, had never left his character. Moreover, the demented grandfather, seeing Tobias, believed that he was facing the same “illiterate plowman”, and concurrently his faithful “battleship” Sancho Panza, and in fact, against his will, carried the young man into a strange surrealistic journey between reality and fiction. The main roles in the film were played by Adam Driver ("Paterson") and Jonathan Price ("Game of Thrones"), however, judging by the trailer, it is to the extravagant old man and his antics that the main attention of the audience will be riveted, probably already intrigued by what the tragedy is hiding behind the title of Terry Gilliam's new film ...
