Sonic Chose James Marsden

Image Recently, information was leaked to the press that Paul Rudd could accompany the blue hedgehog Sonic on the big screens. Studio Paramount eventually denied these rumors, but a shortlist of actors appeared on the Web, claiming the lead role in the movie "Sonic the Hedgehog". Prospective candidates included Hollywood stars such as Jack Black, Owen Wilson, Jason Siegel and Ed Helms. However, Sonic chose a completely different actor.

Information site Variety reports that James Marsden has got the lead role in the film about the adventures of a hedgehog from the popular game series. The actor, by the way, has already had to deal with characters created using CGI in "Enchanted" and "Riot of the Eared".

In the original games, Sonic confronted the evil Doctor Robotnik, who constantly made insidious plans to conquer the world. And although at the moment little is known about the hero of Marsden, according to preliminary information, he will play the policeman Tom, who will help Sonic in his adventures. The director's chair for the project was given to Jeff Fowler.

The release of "Sonic the Hedgehog" is scheduled for November next year, and the filming of the tape should start in July.
