Fincher and Pitt are ready to fight the zombies
Film company Paramount Pictures has finally decided to get off the ground with work on the sequel to the blockbuster "War of the Worlds Z". In an interview with Variety, producer Dede Gardner announced that filming for the sequel to the film adaptation of the bestselling Max Brooks would begin next June.Plans to expand the franchise were first announced in early 2012. Six months later, the sequel was frozen, and the studio, unexpectedly shifting the release date of "World War Z", began to reshoot the final part of the film. Although the production budget of the zombie horror has grown to an impressive $ 190 million, it managed to successfully overcome the threshold of self-sufficiency and complete the rental at around $ 540 million. In December 2013, the studio management returned to the idea of creating the second part and invited Juan Antonio Bayona to its director's chair. There was no progress in the work on the film, and in January 2016 the Spaniard switched to the blockbuster Jurassic World 2. In the summer of the same year, Paramount bosses began negotiations with David Fincher, for whom Brad Pitt was actively advocating.  "War of the Worlds Z 2" will be the fourth collaboration between Pitt and Fincher. Previously, this brilliant creative duo presented film lovers with films "Seven", "Fight Club" and "The Mysterious Story of Benjamin Button". The long-awaited reunion of the actor and director will take place next summer, but in the meantime, Brad is starring in Quentin Tarantino's film "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood", and David is busy working on the second season of the psychological thriller "Mindhunter".
